Figurative FEBRUARY
WORKSHOPS
Workshop 1
Life drawing, a tonal workshop
Monday Feb 10th
10am - 3pm
£20
A drawing has many purposes and the use of tonal areas in a drawing gives so much information about translation into other techniques and materials, so this is our starting point. You may or not want to follow the short presentation about techniques with drawing for purpose, but this element will be a short exploratory session leaving the majority of the day for your own study. The model will be clothed and unwrapped as we choose, with a long pose with consensus of the group.
Max. workshop places - 10
£20 per person, £15 for volunteers

Workshop 3
Life print day, Monoprint and simple paper work
Monday March 9th
10am - 3pm
£20
Starting with mono print, using a glass slab as a drawing medium to transfer to paper. Using paper stencils with this technique. Please bring all sorts of paper including newsprint and magazine, wall paper or wrapping paper. Ink would be good too, along with any other print mediums since the gallery has only a small amount. Using lino tools and working direct from the model. Paint and a large brush a good idea. Collage materials would be an advantage.
